A large complex star-like design and smaller less articulated one fill the field of this soumak bag. The wide main border also has similar star-like designs, which are separated by small-paired spacers used only within the horizontal borders. Is this a simplified version of the main border design mentioned in the previous plate's description?

The use of white cotton highlights is also very unusual for an example made well before the mid-nineteenth century.
