Like the previous example, this soumak bag also has a large octagonal medallion with stars, an inner medallion with a star-like design, and animals enclosed within the central field. The large, wide border is very similar to that on plate six and the appearance and placement of the four large animals is very similar to those found on plate five. These similarities and many others underscore the cohesive design iconography present in the indigenous soumak weaving culture of the Caucasus and also demonstrates the viability certain designs were able to maintain over large distances and long periods of time.
